Therefore, papers proposed by researchers will have to develop an important managerial perspective.

The structure to be respected for the short papers is as follows:

  • Abstract (150 words): The abstract will be published in the proceedings of the Summer School. It has a threefold objective: (1) explain the importance of the theme addressed by the paper, (2) demonstrate the scientific nature of the research, and (3) indicate the managerial contributions of the work.
  • Introduction (500 words)
  • Literature review (500 words)
  • Method (500 words)
  • Results (500 words)
  • Discussion (500 words)
  • Interest of the research for the socio-economic actors (500 words)

The full paper must be based on the same structure, with the development of every category to improve the contribution.

Submission of papers

Submission of papers must be made on the Sciencesconf.org website of the Summer School on New Venture Legitimacy.

For your communication submission on the Sciencesconf.org website, you will have access to a step-by-step procedure by clicking on the “Connected space/ Login" button on the left-hand side of the screen under the main menu.

The procedure to submit a paper on the Scienncesconf website is explained here.

Papers submitted must follow the structure indicated on this page (section Types of submission) and be sent in a Word format.

Authors should also respect anonymity when sending their paper. Papers will be evaluated double-blind. Therefor, no names should appear on the submitted document or in the properties of the paper.

Presentation of papers

Each track will host two to three communication presentations for a total duration of one to one hour and a half. Each presentation will be conducted according to the following format:

  1. Authors will have 10 minutes to present the poster summarizing their work.
  2. A reviewer (the author of another paper from the same track) will discuss the paper for 5 minutes.
  3. 10 minutes will be given to session participants to ask questions.

All of the presentations will be supported by a poster. They will be submitted in PDF format on the Sciencesconf.org website no latter than Wednesday, July 6th, 2022

Posters should summarize the submitted papers by presenting each aspect in a synthetic way  (introduction, literature review, method, results, discussion, managerial contributions). It is recommended to use figures and tables to provide a visual presentation. Each poster will include the names and affiliations of the authors.

It is requested to construct the posters by adopting a managerial approach: the objective of the achievement is to make the research work accessible and to present its interest to the actors of the socio-economic world who will attend the summer school.

A 2 minutes video can also be recorded and sent by the authors on Monday, July 4th, 2022 at the latest to summarize their paper. This video will be accessible to the participants during the summer school. The authors will also be asked to adopt a managerial approach to construct this video by highlighting the interest of the research results for the actors of the socio-economic world. The Best pitch competition will reward the best video.

During the track, each paper will be discussed by a reviewer. The reviewers are the authors of the papers of the same track. The paper of the first author will be discussed by the second author of the track. The second author's paper will be reviewed by the third author of the track. Finally, the first author discusses the paper of the last author who presented their research. Each author is therefore asked to read the paper they are discussing to offer constructive comments and avenues for improvement that they feel are relevant.

A chairman will be present to lead and facilitate each session. He/she is asked to read the papers presented, welcome the presenters, introduce each paper, coordinate the interventions of the reviewers, initiate discussions with the participants, and manage time.
